Prunus 'Ukon' is a Japanese cherry of garden origin, growing to around 8 metres tall with a wide, spreading shape. In mid to late April it has semi-double flowers, 5cm across, pale yellowish tinged green, fading to near white with a light pink tinge. The leaves are 11cm long with finely toothed margins. They emerge in mid to late April brownish bronze, maturing to dark green in summer, turning rusty red or purplish brown in autumn.
