General tree description
Cotoneaster figidus can grow to 15 metres in height. Its bark is pale grey and scaly and it has bright green elliptical leaves, 6 to 12 cm in length. White flowers are followed by bunches of bright red berries in autumn, persisting into winter if not eaten by birds.
