General tree description

Kalopanax septemlobus can grow up to 15 to 25 metres tall. Its branches bear scattered sharp thorns and its leaves are palmate. These are 10 to 20 cm long and broad, with 5 to 7 lobes. The flowers are white, in small flat clusters, appearing in autumn and developing into 5mm blue-black berries.
