General tree description

Hippophae salicifolia (Willow-leaved sea buckthorn) is a small to medium-sized tree from the Himalaya, up to 10 or 12 metres tall. It has a slender shape, spiny branches and narrow, willow-like, sage green leaves. The flowers are very small, produced in clusters in spring. Female plants produce yellow-orange berries. 'Streetwise' is a selection made by Hillier Nurseries, with an upright form suitable for planting as a street tree.
