General tree description

Prunus verecunda is a medium sized tree. In spring it has white or pink flowers followed by bronze-green young foliage in late April and early May. The mature leaves are dark green with coarse teeth, downy underneath and on the stalks. They turn reddish-brown or crimson red in autumn.
