General tree description

Osmanthus yunnanensis is a small tree that can grow up to 12 metres in favourable conditions. It has dark, olive-green, lanceolate leaves up to 15cm long, and these can vary in shape from undulate and coarsely toothed, to flat and entire both on the same tree. The fragrant ivory-white flowers appear in late winter.
