General tree description
Magnolia stellata is a slow-growing medium-sized shrub, typically up to 3 metres in height. It has a rounded form, often wider than it is tall. The leaves are dark and narrowly obovate, and the large, star-shaped flowers are white. They appear in early spring, before the leaves open.
