General tree description

Prunus 'Tai Haku' is a Japanese cherry of garden origin, growing to around 12 metres tall with a wide, spreading form. It is notable for its huge (6 to 8cm) single white flowers with a slight scent of almonds. These appear in mid to late April with the coppery-red young leaves. The leaves are also very large (15cm long) and they become dark green in summer.
