This tree is towards the top of the lower park on the west side. It is approximately 55M north of the pool in the lower park.
General tree description
Pinus ayacahuite is a large tree, up to around 28 metres tall in Britain, with a broadly conic shape. It has purple- or grey-brown, square-cracked bark. The leaves are needles in bundles of five, slender, drooping and quite long (14 to 20cm). They are glaucous green with white lines along the inner side. The cones are cylindrical and tapering, up to 40cm long by 12cm wide, pendulous, soft and leathery.
