This tree is in the upper park, below the ruined summer house, at the junction of two paths. It is on the right hand side of the path that crosses the dingle as you look out from the ruined summer house. It is the taller of the two trees in the photograph.

General tree description

Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'Fraseri' is a cultivar of the Lawson cypress native to California and Oregon, USA. It can grow to 25 metres or more, with a narrow conical or columnar form. The foliage is grey-green, on erect branches.
