General tree description
Prunus 'Kanzan' is a medium sized tree 8 to 12 metres tall, exceptionally growing to 14 metres. When mature it has a widely spreading shape. In mid to late spring it has bunches of large (5cm wide) double purplish-pink flowers among the young coppery-brown leaves. The flowers quickly fade to pale pink and the leaves mature to olive green.
