This is the centre tree of a line of three Thuja occidentalis 'Sunkist' beside the Fairoak Road boundary, opposite the junction with Bruce Street.
General tree description
Thuja occidentalis 'Sunkist' is a cultivar of the Eastern White Cedar, Thuja occidentalis. It is a slow growing tree with a broadly conical, bushy shape and flat sprays of scale-like leaves 3 to 5mm long. The foliage is aromtic, some reports stating that it has an odour of crushed pineapple. The adult foliage is orange-yellow in winter, becoming lemon-yellow in spring.
