This tree is the southern-most of a group of three Picea omorika towards the south end of the Cemetery, roughly midway between Fairoak and Allensbank Roads, and approximately 170 metres from the chapels.
General tree description
Picea omorika is a large tree, 30 metres or more tall. It has a very narrow shape, and short, drooping branches whose tips curl upwards. Its bark is red-brown with large round scales. The leaves (needles) are dark green above and blue-green beneath, 1 to 2cm long, broad and flattened. The cones are ovoid-conical, 4 to 6cm long and bluish-black when young.
