General tree description
Malus x robusta Red 'Sentinel' is a selection of M. x robusta. In early May it has fragrant white flowers that emerge from dark pink buds just as the light green leaves unfold. In autumn there are clusters of deep red, glossy fruits. These are 2.5cm across, roundish with flattened top and bottom, and they remain on the tree most of the winter.
