General tree description

Larix kaempferi 'Pendula'is a cultivar of the Japanese larch, Larix kaempferi, with long weeping branches. It is typically a small tree but can reach 16 to 18 metres tall. The bark is reddish-brown and the leaves (needles) bright green, turning gold in autumn. In winter the bare branches can create the impression of a pink haze.
