Cricket

It was agreed by the Parks Committee in June 1904 that Splott Park would have three cricket pitches and these would be at the north end of the Park between the portion reserved for children and Habershon Street. This was following an investigation by the Parks Superintendent and a sub-committee of the Parks Committee, into the most suitable provision of cricket pitches in all the parks, taking account of the safety of other park users.
