Wishing Well

In June 1987 the Rotary Club of Llanishen was given permission to construct a charity wishing well in Roath Park.[1]

The wishing well was opened c.1989, during Beti Jones' term as Mayor of Cardiff. It was placed just inside the westerly entrance to the promenade, between the kiosk and the path beside the bywash, as shown in the photograph below.

At a later stage, after June 1991 and before October 2015, the wishing well was moved a few yards north to its present position.
