Photographs of Waterloo Gardens after flood defence work

Major flood defence work was carried out by Natural Resources Wales, beginning in February 2017 and completed by Autumn 2018. The second channel in Roath Brook beside the northern boundary was removed, as were many of the trees beside the brook. Concrete walls were built either side of the brook, along with new footbridges, paths and a pergola in the centre of the gardens, overlooking the original flower beds.
